Quick Start Guide

Parserr turns incoming emails into useful data that can be exported to various integrations and third-party applications.

At its core, Parserr is built to be a plug-and-play tool that connects with hundreds of apps and dozens of native integrations.

Email Parsing

Email parsing is the process of using software to identify and extract specific data from emails to scrape off tons of manual data entry work.

Email parsing adopts the concept of data mining that structures your email workflow by exporting crucial lead data to your desired destination.

Use cases

Email parsing suits a wide range of contexts. Designed to extract data from different sections of your email, parsing can automate workflow and cut back manual data entry budget in, but not limited to Real Estate, IT Services, Marketing and Financial industries.

Businesses categorized in these industries receive loads of email data whose workflow can be automated in the following ways:

  • Email to Sheets
  • PDF to Sheets
  • Data Entry
  • Order Fulfilment
  • Email Lead Capturing
  • Contact Inquiry

Getting started

Now that you’re on tabs with what email parsing is and how it can suit your business context, let’s get started with sending your first email.

An email parser is built to extract data from emails. After signing up, sending your first email will help Parserr understand the type of data you want to extract and help you set up rules to extract that data.

Inboxes and how they work

Your Parserr inbox is the destination to which your emails are delivered and stored before being parsed. Depending on your plan, the number of inboxes you have will vary between 1 and 90.

You can set up an unlimited number of rules for each inbox and change the inbox name and address. While first setting up Parserr, your inbox address will be a combination of strings but you can modify that inbox by changing its address and name.

Forward setup

The first step to getting your data parsed is forwarding email from your email client to Parserr. Ideally, setting up automatic forwarding lets you leverage the set-it-and-forget-it approach adopted to let Parserr do the manual work for you.

Since the automated setup can be a bit more complex to configure at first, here are useful guides to help you automatically forward emails from Gmail or Outlook to Parserr:

Rules are sets of instructions that tell Parserr what type of information to extract from the email. They point the algorithm to where the data is and instruct it to extract it based on your preset configurations.

You can create, clone and edit an unlimited number of rules per inbox.

Parserr connects with hundreds of apps and dozens of native integrations to which your data can be exported.

Zapier and Microsoft flow are the default connectors, or bridges, but some plans allow you to create custom integrations.
